Nina Jankowicz

Nina Jankowicz is an internationally recognized expert on disinformation and democratization, one of TIME magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in AI, and the author of “How to Lose the Information War” and “How to Be a Woman Online”. She is currently the founder and CEO of The American Sunlight Project, which aims to fight online disinformation. From March to May 2022, Jankowicz served as the head of the Disinformation Governance Board of the United States Department of Homeland Security and she was the Vice President at the UK-based Centre for Information Resilience, a social enterprise focused on countering disinformation, from 2022 to 2024. Jankowicz has advised governments, international organizations, and tech companies and testified before the U.S. Congress, U.K. Parliament, and the European Parliament. From 2017 to 2022, Jankowicz held fellowships at the Wilson Center, where she was affiliated with the Kennan Institute and the Science and Technology Innovation Program.
