Jeff Ferry is Chief Economist Emeritus at the Coalition for a Prosperous America (CPA). Ferry is an economist, author, and former technology executive. From 2005 to 2011, he served as a marketing executive at Infinera, a US manufacturer of optical networking systems that designs and manufactures photonic integrated circuits in Sunnyvale, California. His 2019 paper, “Decoupling from China: an economic analysis of the impact on the US economy of a permanent tariff on Chinese imports,” won the Mennis Award as “Most Outstanding Paper of the Year” from the National Association of Business Economists. He holds economics degrees from Harvard and the London School of Economics.
