During the Open to Debate formerly known as Intelligence Squared U.S. debate last week, Roger Clegg, president and general counsel for the Center for Equal Opportunity, argued that a diverse campus and the interracial conversations that could result from it is not a compelling enough reason to continue racial preferences, even as part of a larger calculus that considers many factors for student admission.
