In a year when echo chambers grew louder and algorithms pushed us further apart, Open to Debate pursued a different path: bringing people together through the power of real debate. This past year, we produced a record 16 live events, expanded partnerships with leading institutions from Johns Hopkins to Arizona State University, launched our Substack presence, and relaunched the Open to Debate Society. Open to Debate was honored with a Gracie Award, reached millions through viral moments, and proved that when given the space for real dialogue, people still want to engage across differences.
