
Randall Eliason
Randall Eliason is a professor, writer, and commentator on white-collar crime and federal criminal law. He spent twelve years as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia, where he was part of the Public Corruption/Government Fraud section and served as the Chief from 1999 to 2001. Eliason currently teaches at George Washington University Law School and previously taught at American University and Georgetown University Law Center. He is a faculty member at the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and previously lectured at the Department of Justice’s National Advocacy Center and the Attorney General’s Advocacy Institute. Eliason has received awards and commendations from the U.S. Department of Justice, the F.B.I., the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police Department, and other agencies. Eliason writes blog posts at Sidebars, which was named by the ABA Journal as one of the Top 100 Legal Blogs. His writings have been published in scholarly journals, legal periodicals, and newspapers, including The Washington Post and The New York Times. Eliason received his J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School, where he served as an editor and Developments Office co-chair of the Harvard Law Review, and a B.A. summa cum laude from the University of North Dakota.
