Adi Jaffe
Adi Jaffe, PhD, is a research psychologist, addiction specialist, and founder of IGNTD. A nationally recognized speaker and expert on addiction, mental health, and stigma, he presents keynotes, workshops, and online programs for lay audiences, therapists, and recovery professionals. Dr. Jaffe’s work and research focus on changing the way Americans think about and deal with mental health issues, including the processes of addiction and change. He is passionate about addressing the role of shame in destroying lives and aims to greatly reduce the stigma of mental health in this country. His TEDx talks on shame and the true struggles of transformation have been viewed over six hundred thousand times. He is the author of “The Abstinence Myth” and the upcoming book “Unhooked: Freeing Yourself From Addiction Forever” and writes for Psychology Today and other publications. He has shared his own story, research, and cultural and psychological insights on The Dr. Oz Show, Good Morning America, CNN, and more. His research and views have been published in dozens of journals and publications, and he has appeared on numerous television shows and documentaries discussing addiction, therapy, and related social issues.
