Open to Debate Press Release

Open to Debate, the veteran debate series and media organization, has just been honored with six Telly Awards for excellence in digital video programming. Winners were selected from more than 11,000 entries submitted from around the globe.

One award recognized the overall caliber of the company’s virtual events in the “Online Series / Virtual Events & Experiences” category, shining a light on their innovative live virtual debate model. The remaining five recognized individual debates in the “Political/Commentary” category. Here are the five specific Open to Debate debates that were honored:

“In our increasingly divided world, Americans deserve a contempt-free zone for hearing both sides of the issues. This suite of Telly awards underscores the demand and need for balanced, respectful, and civilized debate in our society,” said Clea Conner, CEO of Open to Debate “Our team is honored and humbled to have our work recognized alongside some of the world’s most brilliant content creators. We owe a special thanks to the debaters who took to our virtual stage this year: they demonstrated extraordinary courage of conviction and depth of knowledge on these important, complex topics.”

Catch up on their latest debates, asking the questions “Does Your Electric Vehicle Help The Planet?” and “Can Small Investors Beat The Street?”And last night they taped their next program, a conversation with debate champion Bo Seo about what debate strategies people can employ in their own contentious conversations. That will release soon across podcast platforms.
