Shannon Stirone is a science writer covering space, space policy, and culture, which has been recognized in the 2019, 2020, and 2021 editions of Best American Science and Nature Writing. She is also the managing editor of Energy Innovation, a climate policy organization providing policymakers with science-based research. She previously worked in different roles as managing editor in the tech world and documentary film, where she produced social justice and science documentaries, including Toxic Hot Seat and Paper Tigers, for HBO.
