Thomas Colby

Thomas Colby has taught constitutional law and civil procedure at the George Washington University Law School since 2003, where he also serves as the Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Development. He has clerked for Supreme Court Justice David H. Souter and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit Judge Guido Calabresi in Connecticut. He was previously an associate for the supreme court & appellate practice group of Mayor Brown’s Washington, D.C. office and served for two years as a Bigelow Teaching Fellow and law lecturer at the University of Chicago Law School. His articles have been published in the Yale Law Journal, the Columbia Law Review, the University of Chicago Law Review, the Virginia Law Review, the Duke Law Journal, the Northwestern University Law Review, the Georgetown Law Journal, and the Minnesota Law Review, among other publications.
